1. Webelos dens are made up of 4th and 5th graders, usually divided into seperate dens by grade. The dens are led by a Webelos den leader (typically a parent)
2. The Webelos den leader is usually assisted by an assistant den leader, and sometime a den chief (an older Boy Scout)
3. The den leader may appoint one of the boys to be denner. The position of denner gives the boys leadership experience as they assist the den leader in meeting setup, preparation, cleanup, etc.
4. The den meets about once a week
5. Den meetings have games, crafts, songs, ceremonies, and periodic field trips to coincide with a monthly theme.
6. In Webelos, boys do many of the advancement requirements at den meetings, but they still work on a few requirements at home with the help of parents and guardians.
